The CBR program supports local economies. It provides financial and technical assistance to business tenants and property owners. The program assists businesses with the design, construction and façade improvements.
1. To bring improved and additional goods and services to the low- and moderate-income neighborhoods in the unincorporated County.
2. To encourage business and property owners to reinvest in the commercial corridors of the unincorporated County.
3. To restore, enhance and substantially improve the appearance of commercial corridor facades.
What Improvements Are Eligible?
Eligible improvements are those made to the exterior of the commercial building, including, but not limited to, paint, signage, windows, replacement of awnings and lighting.
Who Is Eligible?
Most businesses in commercial buildings located in low-and-moderate-income areas of the unincorporated County are eligible to participate in the CBR program. The business location and need for rehabilitation must be verified by a CDC representative to establish eligibility.
