The Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles (CDC) supports local economies in Los Angeles County by promoting business growth, and encouraging job creation and retention through programs such as neighborhood revitalization, business incubation, financial incentives, and commercial lending.  If you are looking to sustain or expand your business, or make façade improvements to improve street visibility, the CDC is your first stop.

Business Loan Recipient

On July 28, 2016, the CDC participated in a ribbon cutting celebration for the newly renovated La Reina Tortilla Factory, a 48,000 square-foot facility in East Los Angeles. The factory has been producing tortillas since 1958, and currently employs 150 staff members who work hard to make this business a success.

The CDC provided a Commercial Business Revitalization (CBR) grant in the amount of $235,000 for exterior façade improvements. La Reina's upgrades included new signage, doors, security gates, awnings, and Americans with Disabilities Act improvements.
